Nicholas got a dollhouse for Christmas.  He is allowed to keep his dollhouse and his books in his room, all of the other toys are in the basement.

Tonight when I was putting him to bed we took some time to play together with the dollhouse.  It was nice to spend time with him, but most of all I began to really appreciate the dollhouse as a teaching tool.  It was interesting to see what things he thought the mom and dad should be doing, and what he thought the kids should do.  It tells me a lot about where we spend our time in our house!  I hope that I remember to take time to get down on the floor with him and play so that we both can keep learning.
