Have I mentioned lately that I love my Gentle Giant Marley?  He is so wonderful.  Today we had playgroup at our house, and a few of the kids are terribly afraid of dogs.  Marley is still kind of excitable when people come into the house, and even though he is wonderful with the kids once he calms down, he is bigger than them and that frightens them!  So I put him in my room today.  Dave the dog cried and cried to be let out, but Marley just chilled on my bed.  He only barked when he needed to go outdoors, and then he willingly went back to my room.  He is so good.

Once all of the kids who were afraid of him left, I let him out and he had a blast playing with the boys that were still here.  He loved that they were willing to throw things for him, and chase him around.  He never ran at them, nipped them, growled at them or jumped on them.  He is truly a wonderful dog!
