
We drove right into the huge spring blizzard crossing the midwest today. We should have listened when we were warned that the northern route would be better, but we checked the weather (from a different source) and thought we would be fine... so much for that. We are stuck now in Wall, South Dakota (of Wall Drug fame). We have a comfortable hotel room, and there is an indoor pool and continental breakfast in the morning. We are dissapointed that we will not get to Helena late tonight like we had hoped, but we are making the best of it!
We are holding our breath that the highway will be open again in the morning, and that visibility will be good enough to see mount rushmore, crazy horse and devils tower!
P.S. the reason you can't see my face in this picture is because it is so windy that it is blowing uncontrollably accross my face. Just after this picture was taken my hood blew off of my head, I cursed the dogs when that happend.
