August 27th, 2009Today I had some training on campus. I decided to take the opportunity to get to know the bus system a bit better. I went to the north end park and ride, and rode the bus into the city. It was a pretty cheap solution for getting to campus (the parking is free, and the bus pass is free too!). Unfortunately, it takes a bit longer than driving and parking does, so it remains to be see how long I can tolerate the trip. For now I am going to try to use the savings to motivate me (it saves me a bunch of miles as far as gas and wear and tear on my car, and parking runs somewhere in the range of $100 a month depending on how far you have to walk from your car, and who you get your spot from... that is the kind of money that adds up fast during the year!)
Wow - I just perused a bunch of your entries - you guys have been busy having tons of fun! I'm jealous (and sort of feel like a slacker mom)! You've inspired me to start up my 365 stuff again (I'll have to call it Project 265 or something).
