Today we found this in our backyard. A bit disturbing.

The funny part is that we have a book called scardy squirrel about a squirrel who is afraid to leave his tree. When he finally does he finds that he likes it, and from then on each day he jumps out of the tree, plays dead and then goes home.

Nicholas overheard me and Mark talking about the best way to dispose of a dead squirrel, and he got really mad at us. "That is scardey squirrel, he is just playing dead. Don't touch him."

We made sure that scardey squirrel "went back to his tree" before Nicholas came home from school today.
