January 26th, 2010Rent is touring the country right now. A good portion of the cast is from the broadway show, including the actors who originated the characters of Mark and Roger and the actor who was playing Angel when the show closed on broadway.
When we bought our tickets for this season at overture, we didn't get rent tickets because it felt like a large unnecessary expense. But, the shows didn't sell out, and so they opened them up to student rush tickets. So at 5:30 today I went and bought these amazing seats fro $25 a piece. Their original price was way higher than that.
It was great to see rent with dion... we both had seen it before but never together. It is such an incredible, powerful, moving story, and has great music.
