June 27th, 2010This week I am in Chicago for a conference. It will be nice to attend the conference, as the papers, posters and other presentations will be very relevant for my field, but it is even nicer that the conference is just three blocks from my mom's house and I get to stay with her. It is always nice to have time to visit without dividing attention between the kids, etc.
Tonight myself and three members of my research team got takeout from an indian restaurant and had dinner up on the terrace of my mom's building. The view of millenium park (especially the bean) and lake michicgan are spectacular from up there. It was a lovely way to spend an evening!
