July 10th, 2010Nicholas got a bit sunburned today, so Jonathan went to the beach early without us, while Nicholas hung out at home to protect his sunburn. (We did meet up with Jonathan and our friends at the beach later in the morning, and gave Nichoals about an hour of beach time...)
Lynn took this great picture for me and a great video of Jonathan surfing. At this point Jared was holding the board while Jonathan stood up and then helping him push into the surf. Later, when we got there we got to see Jonathan actually going from kneeling to standing on the board and riding the wave for a second or two before falling in. Sadly all of the cameras that did video were dead at that point. He did great, as far as we know he is the first "surfer" in the family.
