August 31st, 2010Today was Nicholas's first day in his new "4K" classroom at little explorers. They have created a class with all of the oldest 4 year-olds that is specifically set up to prepare them for Kindergarden. They have an excellent new teacher with lots of experience who is going to do a great job moving them beyond just knowing thier letter names and sounds and number names, but knowing what to do with them! We are really excited.
He had a great first day in his class. He a few of his friends from both his summer 4 year old class, and his three year old class are with him in this new class, which is great. Also, he knew that there was some question about whether we would leave him at little explorers or transfer him to the school district 4K, and today when he came home he said, "Mom, can I please stay at little explorers, I like it there!" Which is wonderful to hear after his rocky start last fall!
