I feel so grown up. My first yard sign!

In Texas I was always afraid to put up yard signs. Not just because we lived in the heart of Republican Country and I would have put up signs for the Democrat candidates. The more important factor was that all my students knew where I lived... and I was kind of afraid of the eggs, and toilet paper, and awkward conversations in the classroom.

Then in 2008 we lived in an apartment during the Presidental election (but you better believe that I would have put the biggest Obama sign available in my yard if I had a house at the time).

So here I am. 31. And putting up my first yard sign! Hooray!
