June 7th, 2009Every Sunday all summer there are midget races here in Sun Prairie at Angel Park. Tonight the races were free for Sun Prairie Residents. We had a good time, even though we couldn't stay until the end because it was a school night. I think that the boys favorite part is that it is a dirt track, and as the cars race they fling dirt. We sit far enough back and on a straightaway so we don't get hit very often, but they sure do love it when they get to hold the actual dirt from the race track in their hand!
When I first read about the midget races I was so intrigued and excited. I couldn't imagine that it was PC to say Midget Races, but what do I know about PC. I was a little disappointed to realize it just meant small cars and not people racing. Still think it would be cool though.
