July 3rd

July 3rd, 2010

Madison has a great Independence Day activity each year called Rhythm and Booms. We have never *actually* been to see it. Instead we take our car to the parking lot of the airport and settle in on the top level and watch the show from there. It is very low key and fun, and we get a decent view of the fireworks... and an excellent view of the fighter jets, both as they prepare for the fly over and as they do it.

Last night was my night to babysit and since I didn't want my boys to miss the fireworks I just brought the boys who I babysit with me. We all had a great time waiting for the show, and watching the show. We also had fun visiting with the people we ran into there that we knew. The boys miss seeing their "airport friends" now that they don't go up to visit their dad all the time!
